Makeup Tips for Downturned Eyes?

I have down-turned eyes, and when I apply eyeliner on the top lid, it makes them look even more down turned! Any tips or trick to make my eyes seem less downturned? (Also can you recommend a really good mascara that makes your lashes seem huge?)

Make it cat eye...a flick turning up in the outer corners...also line the bottom connecting to the flick.

i saw this on a youtube video before (though i can't remember what the title was). basically the trick is to extend eyeliner past the outer corner of the eye in an upward line, kind of like connecting the outer corner of your eye to the corner of your eyebrow, but not all the way, just about a centimeter or more. fill in the space smudge the liner with dark eyeshadow. it will definitely make your eyes look more upturned
